This song was going to be the most metal one of the album, originally with fully produced electric guitar, bass, programmed drum-set, and harsh vocals. But, that wasn’t going to fit the rest of the album.
So, I had to make it metal in a different way.
After I finished making this song, I got visuals of a sacrificial ceremony, with the subject gaining empowerment as they make their way to the altar. I absolutely loved using Spitfire Audio’s library “Albion: Solstice” for the choral vocals, the string octet (ELDERS: violins, violas, cellos), and their percussion kits. I expect I’ll be exploring more string compositions in future releases and with other solo/group projects. The end of this song features just acoustic guitar, and I wanted it to really showcase how dynamic in volume and energy a solo acoustic guitar could be, sort of like “Ocean” by John Butler.

The absolutely positive impact that this album has had on my life can't be described with words. Whenever I listen to it, it teaches me something new. My favorite track is "Scaling Mount Improbable." Dundar The Barbarian
This album is simultaneously elegant and humble. The track "A weather front was stalled out in the Pacific--like a lonely person, lost in thought, oblivious of time" takes me on a journey. Dundar The Barbarian
Excellent, atmospheric, instrumental prog/post-metal to lose yourself into. The combinations of stuttering guitar shreddage with the soaring walls of sound over the top are beautiful. Dundar The Barbarian
Combining jazz-infused prog, ‘70s heavy metal and stoner doom, thrash metal, and grunge, the Puerto Rican legion’s debut is nothing short of a behemoth. Bandcamp Album of the Day Nov 7, 2018
